Don Bosco College (Co-Ed) Welcomes NAAC Peer Team for First Cycle Accreditation

 Don Bosco College (Co-Ed), located in Guezou Nagar, Yelagiri Hills, Tirupattur District, hosted its first-ever NAAC peer team visit on the 29th and 30th of August, 2024. The peer team, consisting of esteemed members, was led by Prof. Dr. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice Chancellor of JC Bose Science and Technology University, Faridabad, Haryana. He was joined by Prof. Dr. Natarajan, Head of the Department of Commerce at Pondicherry University, Puducherry, and Prof. Dr. Renuka Thakur, Retired Principal from Jharkhand. The management council, including Secretary Rev. Dr. Bosco Augustine, Principal Rev. Dr. Thaddeus, and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Coordinator Dr. Radhakrishnan, along with the dedicated faculty team, facilitated the visit. 
The peer team conducted a thorough assessment of the college's quality assurance measures based on UGC and NAAC criteria. As part of their evaluation, they visited the Departments and presented detailed reports, supported by relevant evidence. In addition to their departmental assessments, the peer team engaged with various stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and current students, to gauge the overall pulse of the institution. An exhibition showcasing the activities of the youth clubs and extension programs provided further insights into the vibrant campus life. The highlight of the visit was a spectacular cultural show on the theme "Vision 2030," featuring 175 students who delivered captivating performances on the first evening. 
The peer team commended the college's processes and offered valuable suggestions for further improvement. The management of Don Bosco College is optimistic about receiving a favorable accreditation outcome, which would make it the only accredited college on the hills, further enhancing its reputation for excellence.
