The Department of English focuses on cultivating robust communication skills in English and nurturing a profound love for literature among students. Through a range of literary-based activities, the department maintains rigorous academic standards. Furthermore, it offers a variety of extracurricular activities and collaborates with local communities to promote literacy and cultural exchange. By regularly updating its curriculum, the department ensures that students are equipped for contemporary job market demands. Research initiatives also afford students opportunities to excel in academia and leadership roles within the industry.

Vision - தொலை நோக்குப்பார்வை

தமிழ் மொழியின் செழுமை, இலக்கியம், மற்றும் கலாச்சாரத்தை காக்கவும், வளர்க்கவும்; மாணவர்களிடையே விமர்சன சிந்தனை, படைப்பு திறன், மற்றும் அறிவு ஆர்வத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கவும்; தமிழ் மொழியில் இலக்கிய திறன்களை மேம்படுத்தவும்; ஏலகிரி மக்களின் கலாச்சார மரபுகளை ஆராய்ந்து பதிவு செய்யவும் தமிழ்த்துறை செயலாற்றுகிறது.

Mission - செயல்பாடுகள்

 இந்திய கலாச்சார மரபின் முக்கிய அங்கமாக விளங்கும் தமிழ் மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கியத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கவும்; மொழிப் பற்றை ஏற்படுத்தவும் ஏலகிரி மலை மக்களின் சமூக பண்பாட்டுக் கூறுகளை இலக்கிய பண்பாட்டுச் சூழலில் ஒப்புநோக்குதல்.

அணுகுமுறை

 மாறுபட்ட பழைய மரபுக்கூறுகளைப் பதிவு செய்தல் பின்தங்கிய மலைவாழ்மக்களின் வாழ்வாதரங்களையும் பழக்கவழக்கங்களையும் வெளிக்கொணர்தல் கலை ஆய்வின் வழி தகவல்களும் ஆதாரங்களும் சேகரித்தல் நூலாகப் பதிவு செய்து வெளியிடல் தேசியக் கருத்தரங்கம் நடத்துதல்.

நடுவர்கோன் வேதநாயகம் தமிழ் மன்றம்

தூய தமிழில் பேசுவதோடு தாய்மொழியைக் காத்தல் முத்தமிழைப் போற்றல் முதலியன நோக்கமாக அமைகிறது. இயல் இசை நாடகம் குறித்துத் தனித்தனி சொற்பொழிவு  நிகழ்த்துதல் சுழற்சி சொற்பொழிவு நிகழ்த்துதல்.

ஆய்வுத் திட்டங்கள்

 ஏலகிரி மக்களின் வழக்குச் கொள்களை ஆய்தல் ஏலகிரி ஜவ்வாது மலைவாழ் மக்களின் பண்பாட்டுக்கூறுகளும் கூத்துவடிவமும் ஒப்பு நோக்கல்.

To provide comprehensive education and training in Defence and Strategic Studies, equipping students with cutting-edge knowledge hours and practical skills to enhance their employability and contribute effectively to the defence and public services.

Overview

The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies was established in 2022 to prepare young individuals for careers in defence and uniformed services. Many youth from the hills and rural districts of Tamil Nadu aspire to join civil or defence services in the government sector. Drawing on insights from programs offered by other universities, an undergraduate program in Defence and Strategic Studies was initiated.The first batch of the B.A. Defence program began with first-year students and two faculty members. In the current academic year (2024-2025), the department has grown to include students across all three years.
