Theme: “Ayurveda for People & Planet”

The AYUSH Club and NSS Unit of Don Bosco College (Co-Ed), Yelagiri Hills, jointly organized the National Ayurveda Day Celebration on 23rd September 2025 with the theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet.” The event emphasized the harmony between health, nature, and lifestyle, highlighting Ayurveda’s relevance in today’s world.

Objectives

  • To promote traditional Ayurvedic practices for better health.
  • To create awareness on disease prevention through natural remedies.
  • To educate the community on the medicinal values of herbal plants.

Summary of Events

Two significant programs were organized to commemorate the day:

  • Kabasura Kudineer Distribution (11:30 AM, Campus):
    Over 450 staff and students received Kabasura Kudineer, with awareness on its immunity-boosting benefits and preventive role against diseases.
  • Herbal Plants Exhibition (3:00 PM, St. Charles Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Athanavoor):
    The exhibition was attended by more than 200 participants. Students showcased various herbal plants, explaining their medicinal values and practical applications, thus spreading the wisdom of Ayurveda to the wider community.

Outcomes

  • Increased awareness of the health benefits of Kabasura Kudineer.
  • Practical knowledge on the medicinal uses of herbal plants was imparted.
  • Strengthened interest in adopting Ayurveda-based practices for healthy living.

Impact

The celebration created a sense of health consciousness, encouraged the use of herbal and natural remedies, and strengthened community engagement with Ayurveda. It truly reflected the spirit of this year’s theme—“Ayurveda for People & Planet.”
